A Shopify access token can read and modify the connected store depending on its scopes, including orders and customer data. A leak exposes the store and its customers. The token stays valid until revoked.
How to fix it
Move the token into a server-side environment variable and read it at runtime. Revoke the exposed token by uninstalling and reinstalling the app or rotating the credential in the Shopify partner dashboard. Keep scopes minimal.
